Nestled in a serene, well-connected neighborhood of Bangalore, this apartment enjoys unparalleled views and an abundance of natural light, framed by the leafy urban canopy. Yet, its very location posed challenges. 

The story begins with an exploration of site and context. The apartment, originally an unembellished concrete frame with prominent beams, became the canvas for an intervention rooted in tradition yet forward-looking in expression.

QUESTIONS WERE CURATED AND THE ANSWERS WERE CREATED!

• How could a bare, beam-heavy shell be transformed into a warm, living environment without compromising its structural identity?
• Why must a door have a frame?
• What really defines a threshold?
• Are walls constructed for giving privacy or for creating barriers between people.
• Hold on, now what is privacy? How much of privacy does one need and to what extent?

This turmoil of constant questioning each step led to getting a completely hand-made and zero ready-made space.
